L. Stephen Vaughan, D.D.S., M.D.

Dr. L. Stephen Vaughan is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Vaughan is Board-Certified and a Diplomate member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After graduating with honors from Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Vaughan received his post-graduate training in Oral Surgery and Medicine at the University of New York at Buffalo. He was selected for this competitive combined training program that included his completion of medical school. Following his training at the University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Vaughan completed an additional elective training program in Comprehensive and Advanced Implant Dentistry and Surgery at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Vaughan has over twelve years of surgical experience.

Dr. Vaughan understands that the selection of an Oral Surgeon and Dental Implant Surgeon is an extremely important decision for both the surgery patient and the referring dentist. As such, he endeavors to provide each of his patients with both personalized attention and surgical excellence. For referring dentists, he makes serious effort to provide communication and collaboration from initial consultation to case completion. He is well-versed in the most recent oral surgery and periodontal techniques, including Minimally Invasive Oral Surgery so patients have less swelling, less pain, and shorter post-surgical downtime.
